prefer an edgdier coldplay or a familiar mellow one.
i think they are trying something out.
will they stray too far?
we've gotta wait and see.
more tracks in future if possible.

I find Violet Hill not as moving as of when Speed of Sound was released - there were more instruments used. Mint, I can agree that Viva La Vida will be a departure from X&Y. It would be nice if they didn't depart too much. Don't get me wrong, X&Y was an awesome ride, but for their next album, lets hope for slight changes. Such as more harder tracks (White Shadows) or acoustic? I can't wait for tbeir next album.

As for CSS, I can see they have matured. From their self-titled album tracks Alala and Music is My Hot Sex were very zany. For their latest track Rat is dead, well, you can agree with me. Nice track!

It seems to me as though Coldplay are returning to their roots with "Viva La Vida", while injecting something new and interesting that gives it an edge. Well, as far as "Violet Hill" can say, with which I am currently in love. I'm looking forward to it; it's definitely a departure from the "X&Y" mode, which can only be a good thing.
