indie nation

we are well on our way
to becoming an indie nation.
i swear.
we’ve got so much creeping under the surface
its sick and exciting.
gnarly in fact.
whatever you wanna call it
im just basking in all its glory for now.

time for some good quality musique.

first up was the live set of nouvelle vague
which i was lucky enough to catch.
now, nouvelle vague is one of the few bands you can
bring a girl to and not look like you
are still reminiscing over your adolescent years
-i.e. corny and bursting with testosterone.

they manage to melt everyones hearts while maintaining
their penchant for profanity (too drunk to fuck)
its like the the perfect oxymoron.
a pure bittersweet symphony.

they ended their set with the whole crowd crooning
to their rendition of love will tear us apart
fuckin amazing.

they are covers if you dont know by now
but also the best i have ever heard.

c’mon little stranger.lets make an effort to save the human race.

next up is a certain massive electronic duo you need to remember.
justice is washing up on our shores
in a few weeks time and
if you dont know them already
its about time you get acquainted.

well cos i am their friend.
and they just brought electro
to a whole new level of excitement
lets go crazy on the dancefloor.
